Basic Chinese I
Saturdays 2:30 – 4:00 pm. 10 Week Course from February 6th through April 10th. In Room #1 at the Pfeiffer Charlotte campus.
Instructor: Yuehong Li
Designed for adults without any Chinese language background, this non-credit course will introduce you to Pinyin, the basic Mandarin phonetic system. Basic Chinese expressions and every-day words will be taught and practiced, emphasizing oral and listening skills. Basic Chinese grammar and the character writing system will also be introduced. Cultural aspects of the language will be touch upon as well.
Family Chinese I
Classes are on Saturdays from 1:00pm-2:30pm. 8 Week Course from February 6th through March 27th. In Room#2 at the Pfeiffer Charlotte Campus

Learning about China through Film
Classes are on Saturdays 1:00 – 2:30 pm. 6 Week Course from February 6th through March 13th. In Room#3 at the Pfeiffer Charlotte campus
Instructor: Weihong Yan
The goal of this free course is to help people understand China through watching movies and documentary films. The course will have professors discuss related historical and cultural backgrounds and provide Q and A in the classroom. The subject mostly applies to local business people, people who are interested in learning about China, college students who major in history, international studies, business students, and consultant companies in the area of China.
Travel in China
Classes are on Fridays 4:00 – 5:30 pm. 10 week course from February 5th through April 9th. In Room#4 at the Pfeiffer Charlotte campus

Designed for adults without any Chinese language background, this non-credit course will introduce you several places of interest in China. This course will offer an introduction to local conditions and environments as well as touching upon Chinese culture.
Understanding Modern China
Classes are on Thursdays from 4:00pm-5:30pm. 10 Week Course from February 4st through April 8th. In Room #14 at the Pfeiffer Charlotte campus
Instructor: Emily Neal
Variety of topics will be covered from Chinese history, philosophy, and religion to contemporary subjects in China including economics and traveling in China. Cultural aspects such as art, language, and literature will also be examined. This class is ideal for those with a general interest in learning more about China and its culture.
